APPLE'S LIST OF BANNING 8 SMARTPHONES OF SAMSUNG

A
PPLE INC. ON MONDAY GIVE A LIST TO FEDERAL JUDGE OF EIGHT SMARTPHONES OF SAMSUNG TO BE BANNED IN U.S. MARKET, INCLUDING POPULAR GALAXY MODELS

U.S. DISTRICT JUDGE LUCY KOH ASKED FOR THE LIST AFTER A JURY IN SAN JOSE LAST WEEK SLAMMED SAMSUNG 'GIANT SOUTH KOREAN TECHNOLOGY' WITH A $ 1.05 BILLION VERDICT BECAUSE COPYING APPLE'S IPHONE AND IPAD IN CREATING AND MARKETING THE PRODUCTS SHAMELESSLY.

THE PHONE'S OF SAMSUNG TO BE BANNED ARE ALL SMARTPHONES THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS :-

GALAXY S 4G, GALAXY S2 AT & T, GALAXY S2, GALAXY S3, GALAXY S2 EPIC 4G, GALAXY S2 SHOWCASE, DROID CHARGE NA GALAXY PREVAIL, GALAXY NEXUS

Koh on June 26 banned the Galaxy Tab 10.1 from the U.S. market after finding it likely violated a "design patent." Samsung is now asking for that ban to be lifted after the jury found the computer tablet didn't infringe that particular patent, but it did find it infringed three Apple's software patents that cover the popular "bounce-back" and pinch-to-zoom features

The judge is deciding whether to reschedule the hearing to give Samsung more time to prepare. Samsung plans to ask the judge to toss out the jury's verdict as unsupported by the evidence. Failing that, the company says it will appeal the verdict to higher courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

In addition to the sales bans, Apple also plans to ask the judge to triple the damages to $3.15 billion because of the jury's finding that Samsung "willfully" copied Apple.

Most of the Samsung products found to have "infringed' Apple's patent were older devices no longer being sold. The list Apple presented to the court on Monday represent devices it believes are still being sold in U.S. stores, including several versions of the company's popular S2 phones introduced last year. Samsung's newest and hottest selling smartphone, the Galaxy S3, was not part of the lawsuit and is unaffected by the jury's verdict.

Why choose blogger and not wordpress

Guest blogging

Okay, let me clarify first that I am not saying that Blogger is totally better than WordPress because both platforms have its advantages and disadvantages. Since most people prefer the self-hosted WordPress platform because of its flexibility and security, it is better to understand first the important advantages of Blogger over WordPress that could help change your perspectives over the blogspot platform.

Let me first start the most common criticism that Blogger gets from the public – security. Yes, there are many blogspot blogs that are already defunct because the Blogger team deleted their accounts. The reason is spamming. One of the biggest case is Allan Liew’s moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com. Although this blog is still active, it was already  taken out in Google’s index since last year. To those who are not familiar with this particular blog, it was the number 1 ranking site in the most competitive keyword in the online business industry – “make money online“.

There are thousands of blogspot blogs that are suspended and this highly discourages people to sign up with Blogger. Spamming is a very big issue in the Internet and Blogger is one of the strictest program when it comes to this matter. Since Blogger is a part of Google universe, it is just appropriate to make all their products of high standards all the time. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong in keeping your own backyard clean and less waste (spam).

So let me give you the top reasons why you should prefer Blogger over WordPress.

Search Engine Optimization

If you ask 10 people about which blog platform performs better with regards to SEO, 9 out of 10 people would say WordPress. While this is true, Blogger is not really in a big disadvantage. First, Google does not rely heavily in meta tags and keywords anymore. Second, Google owns Blogger which makes it more easy to distinguish which side you should support. Will Google leave their Blogger program to be dumped by WordPress forever? Of course not, there will be more changes in the future especially if you are within Google’s backyard.

For your information, there are a lot of blogspot sites that tops in Google for various keywords. This includes my own blogspot blog (a health niche) and of course Allan Liew’s previous ranking which were discussed earlier. So if you run a Blogger blog, never be concerned about SEO because you are in good hands.

Make Money!

Both Blogger and WordPress allows its user to insert monetization programs to earn money with their blogs. While WordPress have much more flexibility when it comes to advertising space, some Blogger themes are not lacking behind. Blogger templates are customizable where you can insert every ad sizes available. So when it comes to ad space, Blogger is not in a disadvantage.

You can use Pay-per-click (PPC) programs (Adsense, Kontera, etc) and direct advertising to your blogspot blog. Adsense can even inserted straight from your Blogger elements for easy configuration. You can also insert some Blogger hacks to publish ads within individual posts, just like WordPress. With Blogger, you can definitely make money online!
Based on these benefits, why choose WordPress if there is no such big difference? The only thing that you should care about is to abide all the rules and guidelines of Blogger to avoid deletion of your blog. Aside from that, Blogger can challenge WordPress in every department.

So if your blog is in Blogger, I suggest that you support your platform all the way and promote it the way Internet marketers do. After all, blogging is all about sharing valuable content and building a community. So choose Blogger enjoy your blog to the fullest!

Free To Use

Blogger is 100% free. Most Internet marketers suggests that you should start blogging with blogspot to familiarize yourself to various aspects like posting, widgets, applications, elements, feeds and many others. Once you learned a lot, you can switch to WordPress anytime through WordPress Import feature.

If you think this way, you will not realize the importance of Blogger as a platform and it will just remain a training ground on your perspectives. As a free platform, Blogger is totally easy to use to all novice and first time users. But unlike self-hosted WordPress, it highly requires technical knowledge with regards to hosting, servers and other tools, not to mention the expenditures that you will spend for each set-up.

From HBB Admin:

I appreciate the author’s view on Blogger over WordPress. Of course, you know things have positives and negatives. Considering the fact HBB is a democratic site and I thought that it will be interesting to have a different perspective on this issue. If you are still confused, you can check this out.

How to root galaxy tab 10.1

As you know, a little while back Samsung has released the mighty Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet. An impressive device by all standards, with lots of new features and of course, with a lot of horsepower under the hood. But, of course, like every other Android Device out there, what makes it better is the possibility to root it and enjoy lots of great apps. Also, later on we’ll see lots of custom ROMs and kernels popping up, so stay tuned to see the best the developers have to offer.
For now, let’s take a look at how to root Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, and the process is somehow different from the other guide for rooting Ice Cream Sandwich Android devices. Here we’ll show you how to do this using Odin. If you ever flashed a ROM before, then Odin is a familiar name, if not, this program will allow you to install custom recovery files on your device (smartphone or tablet) and custom ROMs.

What will you need

  • The SDK driver for the SG Note 10.1 installed on your computer
  • Odin Software
  • Recovery Image and SuperUser App
  • About 5-10 minutes (it’s really simple)

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

The procedure to root Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is fairly simple, actually (for the tech savvy), it is much simpler than other Android smartphones. Although, when the custom ROMs start showing up, the installation will be done in the exactly same manner. Now, let’s see how you can root your Galaxy Note 10.1:

  1. Download and Install the Drivers for the Galaxy note 10.1
  2. Download the Root files
  3. Download and Install the Odin program (this step is optional, a version of Odin can be found in theRoot Files, do this only if you prefer another version of Odin)
  4. Open the Archive with the Root Files and copy the file “CWM-SuperSU-v0.94.zip” to your Note 10.1’s internal storage
  5. After doing this, press the Volume Up and the Power Button simultaneously, until the tablet closes. When prompted with a Warning Screen, hit Volume Up. After this, on your screen should be a “Downloading” message.
  6. Go back to your computer and open the Odin program. If you have installed the drivers successfully, a yellow box will be highlighted with the communication port, if not, reinstall the drivers. Also, very important is to close all the running processes of Samsung Kies.
  7. Click on “PDA” and a search box will open, browse to the folder of the Root Files and select the “HighOnAndroidCWMRecoveryGTN8000.tar”. After finding it, load it and click “Start”. Wait a few seconds for the process to complete and you should have ClockWork Recovery Mod installed on your tablet.
  8. The tablet will reboot. After it opens, you will have to enter the new Recovery Mod. For doing this, hold down Power and Volume Up buttons. When the Galaxy Note 10.1 shuts down, you will see the Galaxy Note logo, now release the Power button but keep holding down the Volume Up Button. You will now enter ClockWork Recovery, from where you will install the SuperUser App.
  9. In CW Recovery, go to “Install zip from SD card” -> “Choose zip from SD card”. Scroll down to the “CWM-SuperSU-v0.94.zip” you copied earlier and select it. Select “Yes” and wait for the update to flash. (Note:If the touch does not work properly, use the volume keys for scrolling and the Power Button for selecting)
  10. You are done! You can now enjoy a fully rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1!
When the developers start pushing out new ROMs, you will be able to do this with the ROM Manager App, available from the Google Play Store. But until then, you can safely root your devices using this method. You can check if the root was successful when you open the SuperUser app that should now be in your App Drawer, or by installing apps that require root, such as Titanium Backup.
The credit for rooting Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 goes to XDA Developers member zedomax, who has successfully integrated the SU app in the Note’s ROM. Great work! As you can see, the process for rooting this device is very simple if you follow the right steps, there are other methods but I think this is the simplest of all and it works just about any time! Just like with the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is a great gadget that offers users lots of features and power.

Jelly bean features

Android 4.1, Jelly Bean: The world's most popular platform gets even better

Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, is the fastest and smoothest version of Android yet. Jelly Bean improves on the simplicity and beauty of Android 4.0, and introduces a new Google search experience on Android.

   A smarter keyboard.

Android's dictionaries are now more accurate, more relevant. The language model in Jelly Bean adapts over time, and the keyboard even guesses what the next word will be before you've started typing it. With improved text-to-speech capabilities, voice   typing on Android is even better; it works even when you don't have a data connection, so you can type with your voice everywhere you go.
         Voice Search.

Sometimes you'd rather just speak your search query. Or just ask a question. Android lets you search the web with your voice, and it's convenient for getting quick answers on the fly. It speaks back to you and is powered by the Knowledge Graph, bringing you a precise answer if it knows it, and precisely ranked search results, so you can always find out more.

Enhanced Accessibility

New APIs for accessibility services let you handle gestures and
manage accessibility focus as the user moves through the on-
screen elements and navigation buttons using accessibility gestures,
accessories, and other input. The Talkback system and explore-by-

touch are redesigned to use
accessibility focus for easier
use and offer a complete set
of APIs for developers.
Accessibility services can link
their own tutorials into the
Accessibility settings, to help
users configure and use their
services.
Apps that use standard View
components inherit support
for the new accessibility
features automatically, without
any changes in their code.
Apps that use custom Views
can use new accessibility
node
APIs to indicate the parts of
the View that are of interest
to accessibility services.

Resizable app widgets

Android 4.1 introduces improved App Widgets that can automatically
resize, based on where the user drops them on the home screen,
the size to which the user expands them, and the amount of room
available on the home screen. New App Widget APIs let you take
advantage of this tooptimize your app widget content as the
size of widgets changes.
When a widget changes size, the system notifies the host app’s
widget provider, which can reload the content in the widget as
needed. For example, a widget could display larger, richer graphics
or additional functionality or options. Developers can still maintain

control over maximum and minimum sizes and can update other
widget options whenever needed.
You can also supply separate landscape and portrait layouts for
your widgets, which the system inflates as appropriate when the
screen orientation changes.
App widgets can now be displayed in third party launchers and
other host apps through a new bind Intent
(AppWidgetManager.ACTION_APPWIDGET_BIND).

About windows 8

Windows 8 is the next version of Microsoft Windows, a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, tablets, and home theater PCs. The release to manufacturing (RTM) is expected in August 2012 although Windows 8 will be available to users only after general availability which is expected in October 2012. Windows 8's server counterpart, Windows Server 2012, is in development concurrently with Windows 8. The most recent official pre-release version of Windows 8 is the Release Preview, which was released on May 31, 2012.
According to the Windows Design Team, Windows 8 has been "reimagined from the chipset to the user experience," whereas Windows 7 was intended to be a more focused, incremental upgrade to the Windows line. Windows 8 features a new user interface based on Microsoft's Metro design language, similar to that in Windows Phone. The new interface is designed to better suit touchscreen input, along with traditional mouse and keyboard input. A version of Windows 8, called Windows RT, also adds support for the ARM processor architecture in addition to the previously supported x86 microprocessors from IntelAMD and VIA.

Regret Buying Aakash Tablet

MONEY WASTE IN BUYING AAKASH TABLET

Review: I switched on Aakash. It was working fine. Not as smooth as iPad 2 but then at Rs 2,500 I wasn't expecting the moon.

However, I had not bargained for my happiness not even lasting 30 minutes.
When I tried to enable Wi-Fi Aakash conked off.
It refuses to come to life again. For the last forty-eight hours I have been trying my best with generous help from my computer engineer friends to restart it.
Aakash has refused to budge.
The icing on the Froyo cake (Aakash runs on Android 2.2): I have been trying to call the help line numbers mentioned in the booklet that is part of the Aakash bundle. I just cannot get through. Why? Those numbers don't exist (Please try, 1 800 180 2180 and a sweet voice says, 'Sorry, your call cannot be processed').
I requested my doubly lucky friend (firstly because he got Aakash and secondly I bought his defective piece) -- the original owner of Aakash -- to send an e-mail complaint. He too failed to elicit any response.
Now, after three days I have realised I have got a piece of junk and it is of no use. I am poorer by Rs 2,700 (Rs 2,500 for buying the revolutionary product and Rs 200 on account of delivery charges) for daring to buy 'the poor man's iPad'.
After my experience I shudder to think about the fate of millions of students across India to whom the government plans to sell Aakash by subsidising it further to Rs 1,500. No doubt the government's intention is noble: It wants to empower students by enjoying the fruit of technology in this digitally competitive world. What if their Aakash moment turns out to be -- as a colleague cleverly punned -- an Ah Kaash (if only I had not bought it) moment!

According to experts, the new version will have a look similar to the Chinese tablets and have the SIM card option.

Pricing: For those who think that Aakash comes at an astonishing low price-is really cheap, here are some figures:

Tablet cost – Rs 2500
Shipping cost – Rs. 200
A 4GB or 8GB MicroSD card – Rs 500 to Rs 800
No earphones given, purchase one – At least Rs. 400
Total: Rs 4000

Faulty Processor: The gadget may not be able to perform multiple tasks because the Android OS application would require enough memory to run a few applications and graphics. This can be understood from the fact that the cheapest Android mobiles from ‘Spice’ are equipped with 600 MHz processor, whereas the Aakash has just 336 MHz processor. So, half of it would always be kept on use for just running the OS.

Low memory + short storage = no entertainment: Aakash tablet can’t store heavy files and large number of songs since it has less video storage capacity. Although, the tablet’s memory can be expanded to 32GB but that would require more cash spending since a MicroSD card of 8GB is available for a price of around Rs 800 to 1000, making the cost of gadget exceed Rs 2500, as fixed by the government.

Low battery, 2100 mAh: Experts say the Aakash Tablet does not have a powerful battery backup either. A longer lasting battery is important for a hassle free experience on a gadget like Aakash with comparatively big screen. This is significant since cheaper Android phone available in market come with a 1500 mAh battery, for mere 3 to 3.5-inch screens.

In such a case, most of the battery would be drained from that 2100 mAh capacity to just run the Aakash tablet. Although, the Datawind claims Aaakash has 180 minutes of power backup, but the firm fails to mention what kind of usage is possible with it. It the firm tries to limit the storage, its low processor will slow down the web browsing and reading, but can make the battery last for a max of 3 hours.

Poor display, reflects light: Aakash tablet’s screen resolution is very poor as its basic display has no High Definition output. Its screen reflects the light, and at its maximum brightness too, the tablet won’t be able to display the stuff well in the bright conditions. So, this restricts the use to use the tablet in a closed area, not under the sun.

Touchscreen is resistive, but too resistive: Unlike other sophisticated gadgets, Aakash’ touchscreen feature is said to be too resistive during a push and drag sequence or to select an icon or browsing through other applications.

Heating up quickly: The processor installed in Aakash is heating up too quickly, experts say, as it is over-burdened to sustain speed needed to multitask. The tablet gets heated up within an hour of continuous usage, which has been confirmed through actual users who tried using the Wi-Fi and browsing the web for an hour.

No Bluetooth support: Aakash Tablets lack support for a USB dongle, unlike other high-tech devices like Ainol Novo 7 tablet that comes with the price of USD 100 and has support for any USB dongle. This feature enables the dongle to use any 3G SIM for the network connection.

No Android Market, no application upgrade: The Aakash Tablet misses the Android marketplace and that limits the usage to the given apps. Those who know how to get things done on it would try to install it separately, but the target buyers (in the rural areas) may have little knowledge of Androids.

Hardware won’t support upgrades: If at all you are trying to use your skills, and install 3rd party applications, the fact remains that many of the latest applications would need the latest Android OS, at least the gingerbread 2.3 version. But with the 366 MHz processor, upgrade would be difficult too.

Wi-Fi connectivity and poor network in India: With Aakash Tablet having the Wi-Fi option, poor connectivity is going to be a big impediment for users in rural areas.  Even the major Metropolitan cities in India struggle in providing Wi-Fi networks through the service providers, so one can easily imagine how will the users get the Wi-Fi network in rural areas?

No external speakers: As there is no external speakers connected to the device. Audio would need earphones and that would cost money.
